COVID-19 Patient Attendance Procedure
We hope the following information will help prepare you, but most importantly reassure you that we have worked hard to ensure LCD is a safe environment for both our patients and our staff.
We are still following guidance and advice from our professional dental bodies which have led to the amendments of LCD’s ‘Standard Operating Procedures’ so that we can safely provide your care. We have to control the environment in which we create an aerosol (most types of dental treatment create an aerosol). We will adhere to social distancing measures and where this is not possible, we will wear the necessary PPE in or order to work safely.
We politely request that you wear a face covering when attending the practice to be used in communal areas. We are still operating a 'locked door policy' so we can triage everyone who is entering the building.

The Patient Journey: Examinations, Assessments and Hygiene
When you attend for your appointment, please wait in your car. Please send a text message to 07432 660408containing your name and make/model of your car to let us know you have arrived. A member of staff will come and collect you from the car park when we are ready for your appointment. You will also be asked a few questions regarding your COVID19 status. If you cannot attend by car, we politely ask that you wait in the garden by the front door and follow the same protocol.
When you enter the building, you will be asked to apply some alcohol gel. You will be escorted straight into the surgery for your appointment.
Our Receptionist will make you any further appointments and answer any questions you may have. Where possible, we would be most grateful for card payments. We will be disinfecting our card machine after every use. Your treatment plan will be emailed to you the following day.
Please also note:

-
The toilet will be available upon request. This is to ensure we maintain our new cleaning protocols.
-
Parents: We request that you only bring children with you who have an appointment at the practice.
These measures are to keep both our patients and staff safe.
Once again, thank you for your patience. We are really looking forward to seeing you and continuing your care.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Please call 01844 208833 and we will be happy to help.
